The Marysville Sportsmen's Association holds yearly events in an effort to
promote good sportsmanship and introduce persons of all ages to activities associated
with Pennsylvania's great outdoors.
Spring Gobbler Hunting Seminar: Held in March to teach hunting tactics - safety - calling - shooting - history. Open to all ages.
Hunter Safety Course: All first-time hunters in PA, regardless of age, are required to attend and pass a Hunter/Trapper Education Course to be able to apply for a hunting license. The course is a 1-day course in March that requires the passing of a written test.
Kids' Fishing Derby: Held in June to introduce young people to the fun and excitement of stream fishing. Open to children under the age of sixteen (16).
Special Needs/Handicap Fishing Derby: Held in June to let persons with all forms of disabilities/handicaps enjoy the fun of stream fishing with assistance. Open to all ages by special invitation.
Angler Education/Fly Fishing Seminars: Held in June to introduce persons of all ages to the uniqueness and challenges of fly fishing, fly tying, and fly casting.
Youth Field Day: Held in June to introduce young people to various forms of outdoor sports. Events of the day: 22, Shotgun, & Black Powder Shooting - Stream Fishing - Archery - Nature Programs. For mentored boys & girls up to the age of sixteen (16).
Pig & Beef Roast: Held in September as a yearly fund raiser. Open to the public.
Family Picnic: Yearly in October, a get-together held for members and their families - bring a covered dish & the club provides burgers/dogs/drinks.
